Dave is the retired CEO and President of Post Properties (Post) where he served nearly 15 years as CEO leading the company’s significant growth, culminating in $400 million in annual revenue, a total market cap of $4.5 billion, more than 600 associates and more than 24,000 apartment units in ten major Sunbelt and Mid-Atlantic markets.
Dave negotiated and executed Post’s successful merger with Mid-America Apartment Communities (NYSE:MAA) in 2016, creating the premier Sunbelt apartment REIT with more than 100,000 apartment units and assets of $16 billion.
Prior to joining Post, Dave served as SVP and CFO of Weeks Corporation and as EVP, Acquisitions/Dispositions for Duke Realty (NYSE:DRE) where he completed more than $2 billion in transactions and played a central role in the 1999 merger of Weeks Corporation and Duke Realty. Dave also worked for eight years as an investment banker and as a CPA.
